OSRS Rebuild Guide: From Twisted Bow to Quest Cape and Beyond

Jun-09-2026 PST

Introduction

This guide covers the rebuild process, including money-making strategies, skill training, chunk unlocking for restricted accounts, and preparing for new content such as Blood Moon Rises in OSRS.

Part 1: The Initial Rebuild – Making Money with the Twisted Bow

Muspah Grind

The Phantom Muspah is an excellent starting boss for your rebuild. With a Twisted Bow, Muspah becomes significantly more efficient. A single inventory of loot may bring approximately 1.3 million coins.

Key drops to monitor: Venator shards drop at approximately 1 in 100 rate. These are stackable and sell for around 13 million each. Below drop rate, you can expect multiple shards within 200 kills. With a Twisted Bow and no gear switching, you can achieve kill times as fast as 1 minute and 25 seconds.

Reacquiring Essential Items

During your saving period, you may have sold necessary items such as your occult amulet or scorching bow. While the Twisted Bow is superior at many bosses, certain items remain essential for specific mechanics. At Doom, the scorching bow is still required to eliminate range grubs in one shot. Budget approximately 40 million to reacquire this item.

Part 2: Alternative Money-Making Methods

Dragon Nails Method

Dragon metal sheets have decreased significantly in price, making dragon nails profitable to craft. Each dragon metal sheet converts into 50 nails, netting approximately 100,000 profit per sheet. A full inventory yields approximately 2 million profit per trip to the Dragon Forge. Nails are stackable, making transport convenient.

Dragon Kill Parts Method

Dragon kill parts have proven exceptionally profitable. When prices spike, selling eight kill parts can yield approximately 1.2 million profit per large kill part, or 10 million from a single batch. When dragon nail margins disappear, dragon kill parts often become profitable again. Monitor both markets and switch as margins change.

Death Coffer Strategy

With frequent deaths accompanying difficult content, paying a flat fee of 500,000 per death is not sustainable. Use crashed sailing items to fund your death coffer. Death buys items at approximately 70 percent of their value. A broken dragon hook bought for 11-13 million is valued at 20 million by Death. Stock your coffer with 20 million to cover deaths for approximately one month.

Part 3: Chunk Unlocks for Restricted Accounts

For chunk-restricted accounts, every new rare item worth more than 1 million coins unlocks a new adjacent chunk. The ultimate goal is obtaining a quest cape.

The Twisted Bow (approximately 1.5 billion) unlocks access to new areas. For Desert Treasure 2, the Garden of Death subquest starts in a specific chunk southeast of the Chambers of Xeric. The most efficient path is south one chunk from Mount Quidamortem, then east. The southern chunk is required for the quest anyway, so this path does not waste unlocks.

When new content such as Blood Moon Rises is announced, stockpile chunk unlocks in advance. Save enough for six or seven unlocks to be safe. For reference, Doom required only three or four.

Part 4: Skill Training for Quest Requirements

Firemaking Training

You may find yourself missing basic skill requirements such as level 75 Firemaking for Desert Treasure 2. The recommended method is bonfires – the new AFK method requiring approximately one click per minute. Logs have decreased significantly in price, requiring only 500,000 investment.

Hunter Training

With Blood Moon Rises approaching, you may need Hunter levels in the low 80s to catch new creatures. Sunlight antelopes provide approximately 75,000 Hunter experience per hour with around 1.5 million profit per hour, requiring a log basket for efficiency.

Part 5: Preparing for Blood Moon Rises

Blood Moon Rises releases on June 30th. The best money-maker in the game for several weeks will likely be in Vampirium. It is unclear where Vampirium will be located – it may be an instance, underground, or not on the overworld map.

Ensure you have all quest and skill requirements completed before release. Save money and purchase as many chunk unlocks as possible. With three weeks lead time, calculate how many unlocks your cash stack can afford.

Part 6: Deep Delving at Doom

The Twisted Bow does not break the doom charge attack, requiring retraining of muscle memory. The ancient godsword provides utility with a guaranteed 25 HP heal and damage during the shield phase. Combined with other strategies, this helps progress to deeper delve levels. Your personal best can improve significantly – from previous limits to delve level 18 or higher. Antivenom supply is often the limiting factor, so stock up before attempting extended runs.

Part 7: Gear and Item Progression

After acquiring the Twisted Bow, you may need to repurchase the occult amulet, scorching bow (approximately 40 million), and tormented synapse.

The magus ring, best-in-slot for magic, has dropped to approximately 26 million. You cannot equip it until completing Desert Treasure 2, but purchasing early locks in the price. Annihilation items have dropped to approximately 20 million due to Deadman Mode. Eclipse moon and blue moon armor sets sell for approximately 7 million each.

Part 8: Quest Progression – Garden of Death

Garden of Death begins in a chunk southeast of the Chambers of Xeric. You will need to translate a tome and solve puzzles. Completing this quest brings you closer to 297 quest points, another block slot, and the ability to equip items such as the magus ring. Ensure all skill requirements are completed before starting.

Final Thoughts

The rebuild after acquiring a Twisted Bow is a significant phase of account progression. Key strategies include using the Twisted Bow at Muspah for consistent shard drops, processing dragon nails or kill parts when margins are favorable, stocking your death coffer with cheap crashed items, preparing chunk unlocks for upcoming content, training missing skills efficiently, and progressing to deeper delve levels at Doom.

With three weeks until Blood Moon Rises, focus on saving money and purchasing chunk unlocks. A mega rare does not eliminate mistakes. Deaths will still occur. However, with patience and correct strategies, you will rebuild your cash stack and complete your quest cape journey. If you need a boost, I highly recommend Rsgoldfast for affordable OSRS gold to help you reach your goals faster.
