OSRS Earthen Nagua Guide

Aug-07-2025 PST

It's updated in Old School RuneScape, and that means new monsters to kill. This time, we're looking at the Earthen nagua, a new enemy that was added after completing the Final Dawn quest. If you're interested in grabbing some decent stab weapons or just checking out new content, here's what you need to know.

OSRS Earthen Nagua Guide

Getting There

Before anything else, make sure you've finished the Final Dawn quest. You won't be able to reach the Earthen nagua without it.

Once that's done, you can either:

Use the Kettzle teleport to head straight to the area.

Or use the Pennant of the 80s to reach Castri, then travel southeast to the Tali Cavern.

Gear Setup

The Earthen nagua are weak to stab attacks, so bring melee gear focused on stab. You want a double-hit weapon, and the new dual macas are perfect for this if you already have them.

If you have Blood Moon gear, wear it to save ticks on most of your hits.

If not, downgrade to whatever best-in-slot melee gear you have, like Barrows gloves or boots.

Use Divine Super Combat potions and Prayer potions as needed.

You can also bring a magic net to catch Moonlight Moths if your Hunter level is 75+. At level 85, you can even catch them barehanded. These moths help give you infinite prayer, which makes farming much easier.

Fighting the Nagua

Once you're in the right spot near the Moonlight Moths, you'll find three Earthen nagua that spawn nearby. This area is great for camping them while keeping your prayer topped up thanks to the moths.

Here's what to expect:

They have -4 armor, making them easy to hit.

They attack with a stab and can hit up to 13 damage.

Use Protect from Melee and you'll be fine.

They're also considered Spectral Keep creatures, so bring an Ectoplasmator for extra prayer XP.

Their special attack seems to involve gathering earth energy, which may raise their defense. Try to kill them quickly or move a few tiles away if you see anything unusual happening.

XP Rates and Loot

After a 10-minute test run, here's what you can expect:

Around 135k melee XP per hour

About 45k Hitpoints XP per hour

These aren't the best XP rates in the game (especially compared to sulfur Nega training), but it's solid for a new area, especially with AFK potential and decent loot.

Drops include:

Earth Orbs

Soft Clay (great for house teleports)

Runes

And most importantly, new stab weapons, which are great for mid-level Ironman accounts

Final Thoughts

The Earthen nagua are easy to farm, weak to stab, and sit near a ton of Moonlight Moths for free prayer. It's a great place to hang out post-Final Dawn, especially if you're hunting new gear or filling out your collection log.
